On the 14th October I will be taking part in the York Marathon. Originally the plan was to do the full thing but as its drawn closer its turning out that just ain’t gonna be physically possible. Paul from Goodgym however has been in touch with the organisers, emails were sent, calls were made and strings were pulled and the plan now is to relay our way around the 26.2 miles. ( Click here for the full story on this! )
Nothing set in stone yet but at the moment we’re thinking I start the race alongside another Goodgymmer, stop when I need to most likely either at the 1st relay point at 4 miles or the Goodgym water station at 3 miles. The Goodgym guys then run the bulk of the race as a relay and i’ll rejoin for the end crossing the line with as many Goodgymmers as we can all in our Goodgym reds.
This will mean I can both start and finish what is very likely the last marathon i’ll be inlvolved in!
As usual, fundraising for Macmillan through the page below and anything you can spare to donate is really appreciated!
